We escaped! Today we had to get our second COVID test at the Sir Winston Scott Polyclinic in Bridgetown. Our taxi picked us up at 7:30am and we arrived in 10 minutes. Since our appointment was at 8, we had 20 minutes before it was supposed to start (not that things are particularly on time in the Caribbean). However, someone did come to check on us at 8. It turns out that only one person from my family was on the form so we had to wait a bit longer to see how it would work.
8:50am and still no appointment. It wasn't for another 10 minutes that we managed to get an appointment. It wasn't as bad as it was in the airport but I think it's because I was expecting it, but the doctor left it in my nose for 10 seconds which didn't happen while I was at the airport. It was definitely more uncomfortable going back out than when she inserted it. Overall 5/10. Would repeat if necessary. Once those results come back negative, I will be free from my paradise prison.
Around 10, I headed downstairs to the lobby so I could get a change of scenery and do some school work. Eventually I got hungry and went back upstairs for something to eat. We ended up ordering Chefette again before having a relaxing evening of cooking shows, hopeful that our results would come back negative tomorrow.
